You beautifully captured the essence of starting anew, embracing change, and the growth that comes with it. It resonated deeply with me and prompted reflection on the importance of welcoming new beginnings in life. Well done, Arty!
I just wrote this (wrote? quoted?) but it’s so on topic that I had to share.
Rosh Chodesh, particularly Rosh Hashana, is about renewal.
Renewal is rooted in the newness of each moment. “From the beginning of the world’s creation until its ultimate completion, no two moments are exactly the same. Every single second is a new reality, abundant with new opportunities to perfect the world in a unique way, particular only to that specific moment. So too, we can take advantage of the changing times and changing situations, to perfect ourselves as well.”
“Our Sages find hidden within the word ‘now’ the secret of Teshuva. ‘Now’ frees us from the imperfections of our past and presents us with new opportunities to recreate ourselves.”
The Merit of the Righteous Women, by the Biala Rebbe
pages 286-287
I tried to paraphrase, but the wording was too perfect.
I try to write about each Rosh Chodesh, paraphrasing something I read. Small enough to fit on one screen to put on my WhatsApp status on Rosh Chodesh. I am about 9 months in.
Thank you. Beautiful and timely. Jared
Thank you so much Jared! 🤍

Oh wow this is beautiful! Do you post it here every month?
No, maybe I should.
